Italy: Giving a holiday to child victims of Chernobyl

Objective: To support Italian families in hosting Bielorussian children with health problems/contaminated by radiation from the Chernobyl plant.

The Alstom Foundation will fund this 20-year old program, in order to help the Italian families who volunteer to host children from Bielorussia with health problems/contaminated by radiation from the Chernobyl plant.

The fund aims to participate to travelling costs : transfer costs to/from Belorussia for 135 kids and 11 accompanying adults for 1 month summer vacation near Savigliano, a city where Alstom has a manufacturing facility.

This project will also help establish information points to attract more host families.
